Come Fly With Me

My paintings are a celebration of life. It was said that a room full of paintings are a room full of thoughts. In my case they are thoughts of joy, reflection, memories and peace …. in short, they are happy thoughts!!

Robin Williams, playing the part of Peter in the classic tale Peter Pan, starts out as a successful business executive who had forgotten his Identity as the “Pan”. He needed to return to Neverland to rescue the Lost Boys and Neverland itself from the threat of the pirates.

Sadly, he had forgotten how to fly and could not return. The secret to flying he was told was to think happy thoughts …. and with a little help from Tinkerbell in the form of fairy dust, he flew once again. Incidentally, the pirates came about because having no time for happy thoughts, they totally grew up.

The Arts may be somewhat of a mystery to pirates, but they too can be rescued. Art is a means of recovering ourselves a collection of happy thoughts that sound a chord within our hearts. And like migrating birds, those chords, the compass of our heart, will lead us home ….. So break out of the cage and let us fly together!!
